Career
Started 19 of 42 games during his career at Arizona State, recording 174 tackles (102 solo), 5.5 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, eight passes defensed and five interceptions.

Nicknamed “The Beast” by his teammates at ASU for his reckless abandon on the field.

Earned All-America and All-Pac 10 Conference honors during his senior campaign.

Helped the Sun Devils improve from a total defensive ranking of 51st in the nation in 2006 to 30th nationally in 2007 allowing 345.15 yards per game.


2007 Season
Collared a career-high 106 tackles, one forced fumble, four interceptions and 2.5 sacks for a loss of 24 yards.

Earned honorable mention All-America honors from Rivals.com and was an All-Pac 10 Conference first-team choice while being named the team’s Most Valuable Defensive Player.

Ranked seventh in the conference with 106 tackles while starting 13 games at outside linebacker.

Made at least 10 tackles in four contests and led a defensive unit that ranked third in the league in scoring defense (22.5 ppg.).

Totaled a game-high 10 tackles, a 13-yard sack and an interception against San Jose State in the season opener (9/1), earning Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Posted 11 tackles against San Diego State (9/15), Stanford (9/29) and USC (11/22).


2006 Season
Compiled 26 tackles (18 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack for a loss of 13 yards in eight games.

Tied for a game-high six tackles (five solo) while adding two tackles for a loss of 16 yards and a 13-yard sack of Nevada quarterback Jeff Rowe in an ASU victory (9/9).

Notched five tackles and one tackle for loss against Colorado (9/16).


2005 Season
Started six of 11 games at linebacker and finished the year with 36 tackles (17 solo), five tackles for loss, five passes defensed, one interception and one sack.

Dropped LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell for an 11-yard sack and posted six tackles against the Tigers (9/10).

Intercepted Oregon State quarterback Matt Moore while recording four tackles and two passes defensed against the Beavers (9/24).


2004 Season
Played in 10 games as a reserve stong-side linebacker and registered six tackles (five solo) while contributing with a season-high four tackles and a seven-yard sack against Arizona.


2003 Season
Redshirted as a freshman.


Personal
Attended Maryvale High School (Arizona), lettering four times in football and twice in track.

Earned second-team all-city honors as a defensive back and first-team accolades as a running back.

Collected 102 tackles as a junior and tallied 1,300 rushing yards with 16 touchdowns and 54 tackles in his senior campaign.
