Ron Medlin

Ron Medlin embarks his 16th season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Falcons. He will continue to handle the medical needs of the team’s athletic training department. Medlin is only the third Head Athletic Trainer in team history. Prior to coming to the Falcons, Medlin was the assistant athletic trainer for the Cleveland Browns from 1989-93. He also served an internship with the Falcons for six seasons in the 1980s. His experience in his field has also extended to the collegiate level where he served as the head football trainer at Memphis University for two years. Medlin holds a B.S. degree in education from N.C. State and a M.S. in physical education from Memphis. He and his wife, Candace, and their son, Stevenson Ronald, and daughter, Mya Angelica, live in Suwanee, Georgia.

His experience in his field has also extended to the collegiate level where he served as the head football trainer at Memphis University for two years. Medlin owns degrees from N.C. State (B.S. in Education) and Memphis (M.S. in Physical Education). Ron is a member of the NATA, GATA and PFAT’s. He has been a member of the NFL’s PFATS cardiovascular committee for several years and was on the 2007 Gatorade advisory board.

He and his wife, Candace, and their son, Stevenson Ronald, and daughter, Mya Angelica, live in Suwanee, Georgia.
