Robinson Payne

Robinson Payne enters his second season with the Falcons and first as a college scout. In 2009, he will be responsible for covering the Northeast area. Last season, he served as a Pro Scout for the Falcons and was in charge of scouting for 15 teams, the AFL and CFL. Payne’s past experience includes a two-year stint with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL from (1996-97) as the Running Backs and Special Teams Coach. From 1993-94, he was with the Sacramento Gold Miners as the Linebackers Coach when the CFL competed in the United States. From 1990-91, Payne was the Running Backs Coach for the University of Texas. A graduate of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, Payne played free safety for four years (1985-89) for the Wildcats.
